ABOUT
The Hall was built in 1887 as community hall by Laird of Mar Estate and gifted to the village in 1959 with the objective of promoting the wellbeing of the inhabitants of Braemar.
It is run by the community for the community.

Our Hall is suitable for all occasions including group accommodation for outdoor weekends, fitness groups, children’s activities, meetings, consultations, markets, auctions, clothing sales, drama, panto, comedy nights, ceilidhs, concerts, films, funeral teas, birthday celebrations and weddings etc, etc!

The halls and facilities
MAIN HALL
• A Large Hall with dimensions approx : 19m (56’) long x 9m (29’2”) wide. Height at side walls 3m (9’10”) rising to 4m (13’2”) flat roof. Capacity up to 160 including 79 padded tip-up seats on seating rake, plus padded, stacking, non-interlocking chairs. Décor: floor polished wood, no markings; walls light grey/brown wood panelled lower, white upper; roof white with black wood supports. Heating by radiators. Good acoustics. WiFi.
SMALL HALL
• A Small Hall with dimensions approx: 5m x 6m. Decor: carpeted floor, walls light grey. Can be used as a dressing room or overnight sleeping space for bands.
STAGE
• A Stage with proscenium opening 5m (16’5”) wide x 3.2m (10’6”) high, stage depth 5.8m (19’) to back wall. Wings 1.35m (4’5”) stage left, 3.5M (11’6”) stage right. Crossover behind back drapes. 5-step portable treads available and stage stair access is up stage left. Black box drapes on stage. Staging rostra available. Stage has maroon FOH tabs. Stage lighting, sound and projection equipment. Technical support available.
KITCHEN AND TOILETS
• A Kitchen - cooker, fridge, freezer and basic kitchen equipment. • Toilets & limited shower facilities. Access - on street parking. Disabled level access through foyer into hall. Approx 15m from van loading area to stage.
LAYOUT of the halls
The Small Hall is suitable as bar for all special occasions, a small meeting room or changing room for musician, panto, drama or comedy performances.
The Kitchen has cooker, fridge, freezer and basic kitchen equipment.
The Toilets with limited shower facilities.
Access - on street parking. Disabled level access through foyer into hall.
